This guide shows you how we match reading to your results, and how to get one article a week. After your Health of a Christian Leader Assessment, we suggest articles for your development areas. On the web, your dashboard shows one article under Recommended for you. It comes from your latest completed assessment. When you take the assessment again, the reading moves to your newest result. We start with your five lowest behavioural expressions. Then we look for articles matched to them, beginning with the lowest. On your results page, we spread the picks across your areas. No single area takes more than two. To get one article a week by email, select Get one article a week, under the article. You are subscribed. The emails go out on Wednesday mornings, eastern Australian time. Your first one comes once you have completed an assessment. Each email has the subject Your weekly read, followed by the article’s title. It also has a short note, the title and summary, and a Read the article button. The email never includes your scores. We never send you the same article twice. To stop the emails, select Unsubscribe at the bottom of any email. It works straight away. You can also go to Profile, find Email preferences, and select Unsubscribe. Unsubscribing only stops the reading emails. Your account and your assessments stay as they are. Only you see your suggested reading. Your mentor can see the results you share, but not these articles.

Narration is AI-generated. Every screen is from our demo environment – an invented organisation and people.

Your results point to a few areas where you could grow. To help you tend those areas, we suggest articles from the Verve Lead blog.

You can read the suggestions in the app whenever you like. If you would rather have them come to you, we can email you one article a week.

Where do I find my suggested reading?

You will see suggestions once you have completed a Health of a Christian Leader Assessment.

On the web, your Dashboard shows one article under Recommended for you. It comes from your latest completed assessment.

One article on your dashboard.

Your results page has a Suggested reading panel with up to 3 articles. Under each one, a line says which behavioural expression it relates to.

Up to 3 articles on your results page.

On iPhone and iPad, the Verve Lead app is in testing. Go to Assessments and tap View results on the Healthy Christian Leader card. Then scroll down to Suggested reading.

Suggested reading on iPhone.

Each article opens on the Verve Lead website.

How do we choose the articles?

We match each article in our library to the behavioural expressions it speaks to. We start with your Development Areas – the 5 lowest behavioural expressions on your results page. Then we look for articles matched to them, beginning with the lowest.

On your results page, we spread the suggestions across your development areas. No single area takes more than 2 places.

Suggestions follow your results. When you take the assessment again, your dashboard and your weekly email move to your newest result.

How do I get one article a week by email?

You can sign up in any of 3 places on the web:

  • On your Dashboard, select Get one article a week under the recommended article.
  • On your results page, select Subscribe beside Get one recommended article a week.
  • Go to Profile, find Email preferences, and select Subscribe.

Once you have signed up, the offers on your dashboard and results page no longer appear.

Email preferences on your profile.

The emails go out on Wednesday mornings, eastern Australian time. You can only sign up on the web – the iPhone and iPad app does not have this setting.

What is in the email?

Each email has the subject “Your weekly read”, followed by the article’s title. Inside, you will find:

  • a short note saying we chose it from your recent Health of a Christian Leader Assessment
  • the article’s title and summary
  • a Read the article button
  • an Unsubscribe link at the bottom.

The email never includes your scores. It does not name the area we chose the article for.

We never send you the same article twice. If we have no new article that fits your results, we skip that week. If you sign up before you have completed an assessment, the emails start once you have.

How do I stop the emails?

There are 2 ways:

  • Select Unsubscribe at the bottom of any of the emails. It works straight away, and you do not need to sign in.
  • Go to Profile, find Email preferences, and select Unsubscribe.
What you see after unsubscribing from an email.

Unsubscribing only stops the reading emails. Your account and your assessments stay as they are. To start again, sign in and select Subscribe under Email preferences.
