Yes. You can have your own Verve Lead account, with no church, school or network. On the sign in page, select New to Verve Lead? Create an account. Enter your name and email address. If asked, tick the box, then select Create account. Open the email called Complete your Verve Lead registration, and select Get Started. The link soon expires. Here is a demo account, for an invented leader. Your menu has Dashboard, Assessments and Profile. Each day, you can check in on the Dashboard, and see how you have been travelling. On the Assessments page, start with the Health of a Christian Leader Assessment. Completing it unlocks the 180 and 360 feedback options, and the Christian Leader Mentor Assessment. The iPhone and iPad app is in testing. Sign in with the same email address. Without an organisation, there are no administrators, groups or programmes, and no mentor. On your own, no organisation sees your check-ins or results, because you do not belong to one. If you accept a mentor’s invitation, you join their organisation. Mentoring only starts once you agree. Verve Lead’s platform administrators see when you last signed in, checked in and completed an assessment, and how many you have. While you are on your own, they do not see your check-in levels, notes, answers or scores. If you join an organisation later, your history comes with you. Your mentor sees your check-ins, notes and results, even from before they became your mentor. A mentor of mentors who supervises your mentor can see them too. People trusted with care see a watchlist. It can show a low check-in, a long gap since your last check-in, or a low area in your latest result. It never shows your answers or notes. Platform administrators can see it too. You can use Verve Lead on your own, at your own pace.
Narration is AI-generated. Every screen is from our demo environment – an invented organisation and people.
Most people use Verve Lead through their church, school or network, but you do not have to. You can have an account of your own, with no organisation around it, and look after your own health at your own pace.
How do I get started?
If your church, school or network already uses Verve Lead, ask them to invite you instead. Your account is then part of the organisation from the start. Otherwise, you can create an account of your own:
- Go to the Verve Lead sign-in page and select New to Verve Lead? Create an account.
- Enter your name and email address.
- If you are asked to show you are a person, tick the box. Then select Create account.
- Open the email with the subject “Complete your Verve Lead registration” and select Get Started. The link only works for a short time, so open it soon.
- On the page that opens, select Sign in to Verve Lead.
You do not need a password. Each time you sign in, we can email you a link. If you would rather use a password, you can set one later from your Profile.
If the Assessments page does not let you start an assessment, please contact us and we will help you get started.
What can I do on my own?
You can do almost everything a leader does in Verve Lead:
- check in each day and see how you have been travelling
- take the Health of a Christian Leader Assessment and read your results
- download or share your report as a PDF
- get reading matched to your results, and one article a week by email if you would like.
Start with the Health of a Christian Leader Assessment (HCLA), answered about yourself – the app calls this a Personal Reflection. Once you have completed it, 2 more things open up:
- the 180° and 360° options, where you ask people who know you to answer questions about you
- the Christian Leader Mentor Assessment, for anyone who mentors others.
On the web, your menu has Dashboard, Assessments and Profile. The top of the menu shows the Verve Lead logo rather than an organisation’s.
Can I use the iPhone and iPad app?
Yes. The Verve Lead app for iPhone and iPad is in testing. Sign in with the same email address. You can check in, take the assessment, see your results and set a daily reminder.
The app shows Home, Buoyancy, Assessments and Settings. It does not show Mentoring, which is only for mentors.
What is different without an organisation?
Some parts of Verve Lead belong to an organisation, so you will not see them:
- there are no administrators, groups or programmes
- nobody watches over your check-ins and results for pastoral care
- you do not have a mentor.
Mentors work inside an organisation. If a mentor invites you and you accept the invitation, you join their organisation, and we propose them as your mentor. Mentoring only starts once you agree. See responding to a mentor request.
Joining a programme with a code also adds an organisation to your account.
