This video shows you how to manage your members and their roles in Verve Lead. You do this on the web app. Choose Organisation in the sidebar, then choose Members. The page is called Manage Members. Everyone in your organisation is listed here. Each row shows a person’s name, their role and their mentor. It also shows their duty of care switch, and when they last signed in. To find people, choose a mentor from the list to see the people they mentor. Or type a name or email address in the search box. To change someone’s role, select their role in the Role column. The list of roles opens. Choose the new role. Here, Ruth Davies moves from Mentor to Master Mentor. The change saves as soon as you choose, so pick the right one. Ruth’s mentor does not change. You cannot change your own role. Next is duty of care. It lets a trusted mentor see the wellbeing watchlist for everyone in your organisation. Only a Mentor, a Master Mentor or a Mentor of Mentors can have it. For anyone else, the switch is greyed out. Ruth is a Master Mentor, so her switch works. Select it to turn duty of care on. To take it away, select the switch again. Administrators cannot be given duty of care, so their switches stay greyed out. To remove someone who has moved on, select Remove on their row. Then confirm when your browser asks. They leave your organisation, but their Verve Lead account and their results stay with them. Every change is recorded in the Audit log. That is how to manage members and their roles.

Everyone in your organisation is listed on one page. As an organisation administrator, you can change what each person can do, choose who is trusted with duty of care, and remove people who have moved on.
You do this in the web app.
Where do I find my members?
Go to Organisation in the sidebar, then the Members tab. The page is called Manage Members.
Each row shows:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Member | Their name and email address. |
| Role | What they can do in your organisation. |
| Mentor | Their mentor or, for someone in a mentoring role, their supervisor. |
| Duty of Care | Whether they can see the wellbeing watchlist for everyone in your organisation. |
| Last Active | The date they last signed in, or Never. |
| Actions | Remove, to take them out of your organisation. |
Below the table, Invitations lists people you have invited who have not joined yet. Inviting people covers that list.
How do I find someone?
- Type a name or email address in the search box above the table.
- The list beside it starts on All mentors, which shows everyone. Choose Without a mentor, or choose a mentor’s name to see the people they mentor or supervise.
How do I change someone’s role?
- Find the person in the list.
- In the Role column, select their role. It turns into a list of roles.
- Choose the new role.
The change saves as soon as you choose. There is no separate save step, so take care to pick the right one.
You cannot change your own role. If yours needs to change, ask another administrator, or contact us.
| Role | What it lets them do |
|---|---|
| Member | Do their own check-ins and assessments. Most people are members. |
| Intern Mentor | Mentor people who accept them, while they are in training. They can have a supervisor. |
| Mentor | Mentor people who accept them. |
| Master Mentor | A mentor certified for 360° feedback. In Verve Lead, they mentor people in the same way as a Mentor. |
| Mentor of Mentors | Supervise mentors, and see the mentees of the mentors they supervise. They can mentor people too. |
| Trainer of Mentors | For people who train mentors. For now, it gives the same access as a Member. |
| Admin | Run the organisation from the Organisation pages, including this one. An administrator can also be chosen as someone’s mentor. |
You may see Confidant on someone’s row. Only Verve Lead gives that role, so it is not in the list.
What else changes with a role?
- Duty of care. If the new role cannot hold duty of care, we turn it off.
- Mentoring stays as it was. If you change a mentor to Member, their mentees stay linked to them. They are still emailed the level and note when one of those mentees checks in at 1 or 2. To end those relationships, first choose a new mentor, or No mentor, for each mentee. Assigning mentors explains how.
- A record. The Audit log records every change of role.
What is duty of care?
Duty of care lets a trusted mentor see the wellbeing watchlist for everyone in your organisation, not only their own mentees.
The watchlist names people who may need someone to get in touch. It flags a latest check-in of 1 or 2, a long gap since someone last checked in, or an area of their latest Health of a Christian Leader Assessment (HCLA) that falls below a set level. It never shows notes or answers. The wellbeing watchlist explains what it shows.
- Find the mentor in the list.
- In the Duty of Care column, select their switch to turn it on.
- To take duty of care away, select the switch again.
The change saves straight away.
- Only a Mentor, Master Mentor or Mentor of Mentors can be given duty of care. For anyone else, the switch is greyed out.
- If someone in another role already has it, you can still turn it off.
- Administrators cannot be given duty of care, and you cannot change your own.
- If someone’s role changes to one that cannot hold duty of care, we turn it off.
- The Audit log records every change.
How do I remove someone?
- Select Remove on their row.
- Confirm when your browser asks.
When you remove someone:
- They leave your organisation. Their Verve Lead account is not deleted, and their check-ins and results stay with them.
- Their mentoring in your organisation ends. Anyone they mentor here loses them as a mentor. If their own mentor is in your organisation, that link ends too. If they join again later, any mentoring relationship has to be accepted afresh.
- They leave your groups.
- They come off any programme that has not yet closed its first round. A programme whose first round has closed keeps them, so its figures do not change.
- The Audit log records the removal.
You cannot remove yourself.
