People join your organisation by invitation. Here’s how to invite one person or a whole list, and keep track of your invitations. You’ll need to be an organisation administrator, and you’ll use the web app. Go to Organisation, then Members. At the top right, you’ll see Invite member and Bulk import. To invite one person, select Invite member. Enter their email address. Their name is optional – if you leave it blank, they’ll add it when they first sign in. Then choose their role. Most people join as a Member, which lets them complete assessments. To give someone a mentor from the start, choose Mentee, then pick their mentor. We propose the mentor when they join, and mentoring only starts once they agree. Select Send Invitation. A confirmation appears, and the new invitation shows further down the page. To invite a whole list, go back to Members and select Bulk import. Prepare a CSV file with email first, then an optional role. Anyone without a valid role joins as a Member. Upload the file, or paste its contents into the box. Check the preview. Problem rows, like an email with no @ sign, show in red and are left out. Then select Send invitations. You’ll see how many were sent, and how many were skipped – for example, because they’re already members. Invitations last 30 days, and each one shows how long it has left. Resend emails them a fresh link, and the old one stops working. Cancel withdraws the invitation. On its own, an invitation doesn’t let you see their check-ins or assessment results. You’ll find every step, with pictures, in the Verve Lead help guides.

People join your organisation by invitation. As an organisation administrator, you can invite one person at a time, or a whole list at once.
You do this in the web app.
Where do I start?
Go to Organisation, then Members. At the top right are 2 buttons:
- Invite member – for one person
- Bulk import – for a list.
Inviting one person
- Select Invite member.
- Enter their email address. Their first and last name are optional – if you leave them blank, they are asked for their name when they first sign in.
- Choose their Role. Most people are a Member, who can do their own check-ins and assessments.
- To give them a mentor from the start, choose Mentee as the role, then choose Their mentor.
- Select Send Invitation.
We email them an invitation. It names your organisation and has an Accept Invitation button.
If the person has used Stop invitation emails in an earlier Verve Lead email, we cannot send them an invitation. The form tells you: “That person has asked not to receive invitations from Verve Lead.” If they would like to join, ask them to contact us.
Which role should I choose?
| Role | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Member | Can do their own check-ins and assessments. Most people start here. |
| Mentee | A member with a mentor proposed at the same time. |
| Intern Mentor | A mentor in training, under supervision. |
| Mentor | Full mentor access. |
| Master Mentor | A mentor certified for 360° feedback. |
| Mentor of Mentors | Oversees other mentors. |
| Trainer of Mentors | For people who train mentors. For now, it gives the same access as a Member. |
| Admin | Full access to run the organisation. |
You can change someone’s role later by selecting their role in the Members list. For what each role can do, see managing members and roles.
Inviting a whole list
- Select Bulk import.
- Prepare a CSV file with the email address in the first column and, if you like, the role in the second. The import reads the columns in that order, whatever their headings say. Anyone without a valid role joins as a member.
- Upload the file, or paste its contents into the box.
- Check the Preview. A row with no @ in its email address is marked in red and left out.
- Select the send button. It shows how many invitations will go – for example, Send 3 invitations.
When the import finishes, it tells you how many invitations were sent. It also says how many it skipped because they are already a member or already have an invitation waiting, and names anyone who has asked not to receive invitations.
A bulk import cannot attach a mentor. To invite someone as a mentee, invite them on their own.
Keeping track of invitations
The invitation page lists every invitation that has not been accepted yet, with how long it has left. An invitation lasts 30 days. Someone you invited as a mentee shows the role Member here – their mentor is proposed to them when they join.
- Resend sends a fresh link. The earlier link stops working.
- Cancel withdraws the invitation.
If someone says they did not get their invitation, ask them to check their spam or junk folder first, then resend it.
