This video shows you how to open your mentee’s HCLA results on the web. When your mentee completes a Personal Reflection, we email you. The email shows no scores. Select View their results to open them. To find your mentee yourself, select Mentees in the sidebar. Your mentees appear here once they accept you as their mentor. Select your mentee from the list. On their page, scroll to HCLA Assessment History. You see all their results, including any from before you became their mentor. Each assessment shows its date, its overall score as a percentage, and how it was taken. Beside the percentage, the same score is 77.8 out of 125. Select View Results beside the assessment you want. Only completed assessments have this link. The results page opens with the overall score and the 3 areas. The areas are psychological well-being, spiritual vitality and transformative leadership. Further down, All Sub-Competencies lists all 25 behavioural expressions, grouped by area. Select any one to see the statements behind it, and how your mentee answered each, from 1 to 4. Older assessments were taken on an earlier version, so they show the scores only. Only your mentee can download their HCLA report. They can email it to you with Share, on their own results page. Your mentee chose to share their results with you, so hold them with care. If they end the relationship, their results stay with them, and their page closes to you. Use the results to start a conversation. Open them together, on a call or side by side. Ask what rings true for them before you offer anything. Choose 2 or 3 behavioural expressions to talk through, rather than all 25. Ask them to bring the reflection questions from their Mentor Questions page. Agree what they will try before you next meet.

Narration is AI-generated. Every screen is from our demo environment – an invented organisation and people.

When a mentee accepts you as their mentor, they agree to share their assessment results with you. You can then open:

  • their Health of a Christian Leader Assessment (HCLA) results
  • their Christian Leader Mentor Assessment (CLMA) results, if they have taken one.

Results are a place to start a conversation. They are most useful when you look at them together and ask good questions.

When can I see a mentee’s results?

Only once they have accepted you as their mentor. From then on you see all their results, including any from before you became their mentor.

If they decline, or end the relationship later, their results stay with them and their page closes to you.

When your mentee completes a Personal Reflection HCLA, we email you. The email shows no scores – select View their results to open them.

Opening their HCLA results

On the web

  1. Select Mentees in the sidebar, then select your mentee.
  2. Scroll to HCLA Assessment History.
  3. Select View Results beside the assessment you want. Only completed assessments have this link.

Each assessment in the history shows its date, the overall score as a percentage, and how it was taken: Personal, 180° or 360°. Underneath are the 3 area scores – PW (psychological well-being), SV (spiritual vitality) and TL (transformative leadership).

Beside the percentage, the same overall score appears as a total out of 125. For example, 62 per cent is 77.8 out of 125. Your mentee’s own results page shows it out of 100 – see reading HCLA results.

Looking at the detail on the web

All Sub-Competencies lists all 25 behavioural expressions, grouped by area, each with its score. Your mentee’s own results page calls the same list All Behavioural Expressions.

Select any one to see the statements behind it. Each shows how your mentee answered, from 1 (Not true of me) to 4 (Very true of me).

The statements behind one behavioural expression.

Keep 2 things in mind:

  • You see your mentee’s own answers. If they asked others for feedback (a 180° or 360°), it shows in their history with its status, but for now you cannot open its results. On the web, its card shows an overall score that blends everyone’s answers, so it can differ from their own. Your mentee sees the feedback from others on their own results page.
  • Older assessments show scores only. Assessments taken before 11 August 2026 used earlier wording for the statements, so we do not show their answers against today’s wording.

On iPhone and iPad

The Verve Lead app for iPhone and iPad is in testing.

  1. Open Mentoring and tap your mentee.
  2. Under HCLA assessments, tap a completed assessment.
  3. HCLA Results shows the overall score and the 3 areas, each out of 100, and a chart of the 3.
  4. Under All behavioural expressions, tap any one to see the statements and their answer to each.

Opening their CLMA results

The CLMA looks at how someone mentors others. You will only see it for mentees who have taken one.

On the web, open your mentee and scroll to CLMA Assessment History. Select View Results.

You see the same results page your mentee sees, so you can point to the same thing when you talk it through.

The top of a mentee's CLMA results.

The page shows:

  • View by – All (Comparison) for the overall picture, or one group’s view: Self, Supervisor, Peer or Mentee
  • Overall Score out of 5, and Feedback Received from each group
  • charts of the prerequisite and behavioural competencies, and All Competencies Ranked
  • Behavioural Expressions – select a competency to see the statements behind its score
  • Strengths and Development Areas – the 3 highest and the 3 lowest.

On iPhone and iPad, tap your mentee, then an assessment under CLMA assessments. Where there is more than one view, use Perspective to change whose view you see.

Why are some groups held back?

We never show raters’ names. Where only one person answered in a group, though, that group’s scores are theirs.

Some people gave feedback when we still told raters their answers would be anonymous. We keep that promise. If a group has fewer than 3 people and any of them answered under the old promise, its breakdown is marked Held back. Their answers still count towards the overall and competency scores. We treat answers given in an older test version of the iPhone and iPad app the same way.

Can I get a copy of their report?

  • CLMA: yes. On the web, select Download Report for a PDF. On iPhone and iPad, tap Share report (the share icon) at the top right.
  • HCLA: only your mentee can download their HCLA report. They can email it to you with Share on their results page.

The HCLA reflection questions are on your mentee’s side too. Under Mentor Questions, they get questions chosen for their results, ready to print. The same questions are in their PDF report. Ask your mentee to bring them to your next conversation.

How can I use their results in a conversation?

  1. Open the results together, on a call or side by side.
  2. Ask what rings true for them before you offer anything.
  3. Choose 2 or 3 areas to talk through, rather than all of them.
  4. Use the reflection questions your mentee brings from their Mentor Questions page.
  5. Agree what they will try before you next meet.
