How do I update my profile and email preferences?
Your profile holds your name, your password, the emails you receive and your mentoring relationships. Here is how to change them, and what other people can see.
- Everyone
- Web
- iPhone
- iPad
Your profile keeps your own details in order.
On the web, select Profile in the sidebar. On iPhone and iPad, go to Settings. The Verve Lead app for iPhone and iPad is in testing.
What’s on my profile?
On the web, Your Profile is made up of cards:
| Card | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Personal Information | Your name, email address, role, organisation, mentor and the date you joined. |
| Password | Whether you have a password, and how to set or change it. |
| Mentoring | For mentors only: the welcome message and booking link that go with your mentee invitations. |
| Buoyancy (90 days) and Check-ins | Your average check-in level and how many check-ins you have made over the last 90 days. |
| Email preferences | Whether you receive one recommended article a week. |
| Daily check-in reminder | Your reminder on your iPhone, and its time. |
| Mentoring relationships | Your mentor, any mentor requests waiting for you, and – if you mentor others – your mentees. End relationship ends one. |
How do I change my name?
Your name is how you appear to your mentor, to your organisation and on your reports.
On the web:
- Go to Profile. In Personal Information, select Edit.
- Change your First name and Last name.
- Select Save.
If your new name does not show straight away, refresh the page.
On iPhone and iPad:
- Go to Settings. Under Account, tap your name.
- Change your First name and Last name. You need a first name.
- Tap Save.
Once your name is set, you can change it but not clear it.
If you joined from an invitation without a name, Verve Lead asks “What should we call you?” when you first sign in. You can choose Skip for now on the web, or Not now in the app, and add it later here.
Can I change my email address?
Not from your profile. Your email address is how you sign in, so your profile shows it but does not let you change it. If you need to change it, contact us.
Which emails can I turn off?
Weekly reading. One recommended article a week, chosen for your latest assessment results. The email never includes your scores. Turn it on or off on the web: go to Profile, then Email preferences, and select Subscribe or Unsubscribe. Each weekly email also has an Unsubscribe link. Weekly reading has more.
Invitations. Invitation emails – to be mentored, to give someone feedback or to join an organisation – end with Stop invitation emails. Select it, then confirm with Stop these emails. Changed your mind? The page that follows has Turn invitations back on.
Emails you asked for always come: sign-in links, password emails and your own results.
Your check-in reminder is a notification on your iPhone, not an email. Change it under Daily check-in reminder on your profile, or in the app’s Settings. The check-in reminder and Face ID lock explains more.
What else is in the app’s Settings?
The app’s Settings also has your daily check-in reminder, your mentor and the people you mentor. You can end a relationship there – Revoke mentor access for your mentor, or End relationship for someone you mentor. You can also lock the app with Face ID. Mentors also find Mentee invitations there – Your welcome note and booking link covers it.
