What is Verve Lead, and how does it fit together?
A short tour of Verve Lead – the daily check-in, the Health of a Christian Leader Assessment, mentors and organisations – and where to go next.

Verve Lead helps Christian leaders look after their own health while they lead others. It brings together a short daily check-in, a deeper assessment and the people who walk alongside you.
Everything starts from your Dashboard, the first page you see after you sign in.
What will I find in Verve Lead?
| Tool | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Daily check-in | One question a day: how buoyant are you? You answer from 1 (Empty) to 6 (Full). Over time, your answers show how you are really travelling. |
| Health of a Christian Leader Assessment | A deeper look across 3 areas – psychological well-being, spiritual vitality and transformative leadership. Once you have completed one, you can also ask people who know you to give feedback. |
| Christian Leader Mentor Assessment | For mentors, looking at 13 mentor competencies. It opens once you have completed a Health of a Christian Leader Assessment. |
| Suggested reading | Articles chosen for your latest assessment results. You can also choose to get one by email each week. |
Your organisation may have switched some of these tools off. If you cannot find one, ask your organisation’s administrator.
Who is Verve Lead for?
Each person uses Verve Lead a little differently. Start with the part that fits you.
| If you are… | You will mostly | Start here |
|---|---|---|
| A leader looking after your own health | Check in, take the assessment and talk through your results with a mentor. | For leaders |
| A mentor or mentor of mentors | Walk alongside your mentees and prepare for each conversation. | For mentors and supervisors |
| An organisation administrator | Invite your people, assign mentors and run before-and-after programmes. | For organisations |
| A group leader or pastoral carer | See how your group is travelling, or who may need a call. | How groups work · The watchlist |
| Someone asked to give feedback | Answer questions about a leader or mentor. You do not need an account. | Giving feedback |
Many people wear more than one hat. A mentor is also a leader with their own check-in and assessment, for example.
How do mentors fit in?
A mentor is someone who walks alongside you and asks good questions. Your organisation may propose a mentor, or a mentor may invite you.
Either way, a mentor only sees your information once you accept their request. You can say no, and you can end the relationship later from your Profile. Responding to a mentor request explains each step.
What does my organisation see?
If you belong to a church, school, network or denomination, its administrators can invite people and see how the organisation is travelling as a whole.
Where do I use Verve Lead?
On the web, sign in at app.vervelead.com from any computer, tablet or phone browser. Everything is available on the web, including the organisation pages.
On iPhone and iPad, the Verve Lead app is in testing. It has your check-in, your assessments and, for mentors, a Mentoring section. Running an organisation stays on the web. The iPhone and iPad app explains how to get it.
Where do I start?
- Sign in. If you were invited, use the button in your invitation email the first time.
- Do your first daily check-in.
- Take the Health of a Christian Leader Assessment when you have time to answer honestly. It saves as you go.
- If a mentor has asked to connect with you, respond to their request.
Where can I get help?
In the web app, the question mark at the top of each page opens short help articles chosen for that page. In the iPhone and iPad app, go to Settings, then Help and support.
If you are still stuck, contact us and we will help you find your way.
